0.45 Micron Reinforced PTFE membrane filters for Biomedical Devices

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) filter membranes are a common material used for implants and medical devices in general because of its high biocompatibility and inertness. PTFE Membrane possesses natural hydrophobic properties, making it an excellent choice for applications such as filtering gases, aqueous aerosols, protecting vacuum pumps, or sterile venting fermentation tanks. The membrane's ability to prevent aqueous aerosols from entering the system ensures that the air being vented is free from contaminants, providing a safer and more hygienic solution for various industries such as pharmaceutical manufacturing. PTFE membranes can be utilized to protect pumps and machinery from aqueous aerosols by effectively blocking these particles from entering the system, these filters help maintain the integrity and performance of pumps and other equipment. PTFE membranes from us are bi-axially stretched (expanded) with uniform pore size, high porosity which effectively retain microbes and particles in the air. And given the sensitive nature of PTFE, the membrane filters are reinforced and laminated with a polypropylene backing for higher mechanical strength and easy handling, which significantly extends their medical and biotech applications.
